How to restart Jiffy using JAM (Jiffy Admin Module)?

Version: This solution is applicable for all versions of Jiffy.

Pre-requisites: Jiffy Server jiffyapp-usr credentials

Steps to solve:

• Login to JAM URL web page.
• http:// :9002/login
User id - jam _ admin / password - jam_admin


• Go to > left menu > Jiffy Admin > Jiffy Service Admin
• Click on ‘Stop Jiffy’ button
• All the process will be stopped


• To start click on ‘Start Jiffy’ button
• And now all the processes will be running.

Machine is showing unavailable in JAM

The machine shows unavailable in JAM GUI even though the Jiffy BOT system is up and running.

Cause: This error occurs when the Jasmine process is not running in the machine.

Details: Jasmine is a user level process which gets invoked while user login to the windows BOT machine.

Solution:

1. Check the status of the Jasmine service in Task Manager > Services.
2. The Jasmine process should be started manually. After this, the system will be shown available in the JAM GUI.
3. Double click on the JAMclientStartup bat file at C:\jiffyservice\JAM in order to start the Jasmine process.

Jiffy Services are not starting from the JAM

Cause: If the Jasmine services are not running in the Jiffy client then the user will not able to start the bot in JAM.

Solution:Check the status of the Jasmine service in the Jiffy client system. To do this:

• Open the Task Manager
• In the Details tab, search for the below mentioned java process:
  
  
• If the Jasmine process is not found in the Task manager, the Jasmine process is not running in the client system.
• Do the following to start the Jasmine process:
  • Go to C:\\jiffyservice\\JAM
  • Run the 'JAMclientStartup.bat' file.
  • Verify if the jasmine process has started.
  • Go to JAM and start the jiffy service.
